Nothing fancy but the diving was all good. |

Accommodations are clean and comfortable, but not at all luxurious. The food is plentiful and good, but not exceptional, though Thursday's turkey dinner was about as good as any place I've had Thanksgiving dinner. The diving was good, but not exceptional. I might have thought it was better, but there was a lot of rain shortly before we arrived and the runoff had an adverse effect on the visibility. It was also unusually cold during our stay. The shore diving really is unlimited and available whenever you want to go. My personal best during our week was 7 dives on Thursday. The only drawback is that the boat docks and gear lockers (and full tanks, of course) are on the side of the cay opposite the shore entry, so you have to gear up and walk perhaps 75 yards to the water, and there's a couple of hundred feet of shallow water before it drops off. Other than the walk to the water the gear storage and facilities are excellent. If we don't go back it will only be because there are a lot of places we still haven't been to and we don't have the time or money to do it all. Because it's an inexpensive week there's a good chance we'll go back for a trip that we might not manage at the cost of many other locations. | Enjoyed my dive trip last June at CoCo View. Easy shore dives and great boat crews with a room over the water. Meals were basic but good, diving was all walls, your choice of two for shore diving. Night diving was very good as the walls came alive with vibrant colors using artificial light. One nurse shark hiding along the walls at 60' was he biggest critter we saw. Good for macro on any dive. All in all we had a good time at CoCo View. Although it is claimed to have the "most returned" status amoung divers, I do not think that I will. The general health of the reefs are in major decline, but I give it 3 out of 5 for overall good times. -- Message posted via http://www.scubamonster.com |

| I had a great time there, but beware of sand fleas. The shore dive is a very long 2 foot depth trip to a boat full with friendly Nassau Groupers. I saw octopi and much more while heading back and forth to the boat. Enrique will show you pipefish and seahorses if you ask. bob |
