anybody been? any recommendations for dive operators, to use / avoid?

Well, I have not been in Chennai before. I don't even know if there are dive sites there and rich marine life. Although I know that most of the people there are Buddhists and therefore they might have respected well their natural resources. I'll research more on them I guess.

I have no idea about diving near Chennai.

But these are good Dive Operators in India with proper facilites and safe to dive with.

i don think there is any place for diving in chennai... im from pondicherry ( 125 km away from chennai) and till date i ve not heard of one such place... though i'll post most details after enquiry.. all i know is that you can watch the " turtle's walk " here every morning in december and january... and ppl from all oer the world do come here to watch this
