How long do you have before you leave? You might well find that a BSAC club would be able to train you more cheaply than any reputable PADI school. SCUBA requires the use of a Life Support System which, if it (that "it" is a general it not entirely related to that Life Support System) goes wrong, means that you can, at best, hurt yourself significantly and, at worst, die. It's not like buying a fridge. Fridges can't kill you, well, not very often anyway and not, unlike SCUBA, every time you use it. Cheers, Christian |
