Learning to Dive in Indonesia

So you want to learn a sport that it's quite easy to kill yourself doing
and your most important criteria is how cheap the course is?

Almost certainly Indonesia. I remember doing 2 days diving there. The
first day, the BCD inflated itself constantly throughout the dive. The
second day, it had no clips, we had to tie it on, oh, and I see to recall
it was the wrong size. Fortunately I had my own regulators.

I did my PADI OW course in Tioman Island off Malaysia. Quite cheap.
Kit in good condition. 3 students to the instructor.

How long do you have before you leave? You might well find that a BSAC
club would be able to train you more cheaply than any reputable PADI
school. If you've got time then tell us where you are and we'll
suggest some clubs in your area.
