| This is one of the best spots in Indonesia to photograph angelfish, as they are abundant and somewhat curious about divers. Dolphins have been seen here underwater on rare occasions and, more frequently, accompany the dive boats to the island. How to get there: Arrange for a boat out to a spot called Pos 2, which you can enter by boat or walk to via a sandy cut from the island. Depths: In the 3m to 40m range. Dive profile: This dive has a very simple entry and remarkably contrasting terrain on either side of the entry cut. One side has steep walls with deep crevices; and while the swim to the left isn't as rugged, it is full of marine inverts like fans and sponges. |
