| Big creatures like manta and molas are seen in this part of the region. How to get there: A boat ride is necessary and the better the boat, the better the trip. Depths: Near the island, the bottom is at about 12m and gently slopes away from the island well past 30m. Dive profile: A Gili Tepekong drift dive can take you along the island's wall, where sharks often frequent. Blue lobsters are also found in some holes, and you may see molas (ocean sunfish) near the outer channel facing Nusa Penida, especially during cold upwellings. I am not really very particular with this dive spot but my brother loves it so much that he returns to it once in a while. |
