You can modify any paramter of a dive while in the profile, change deco gasses, algorythms, etc. A terrific teaching and learning tool. |

| Yo Scott, You think GAP is 'A terrific teaching and learning tool.' I second that. Whole heartedly. Even intergrated an older (free) version in our advanced scuba training. Off course with his kind consent. (Funny, how we meet in this forum, from time to time.) -- HES van Schoonhoven Life is a learning experience "Scott" <pugetsounddiver@gmail.com> schreef in bericht news:0Cn_d.28$F31.691@news.uswest.net... > "Dan Nafe" <dan@scuba-training.net> wrote in message > news:dan-C0566C.07073517032005@comcast.dca.giganews.com... > >> Some pretty bold statements, there. >> >> ;-> > > Kees has worked his buns off on the program, and it shows. > > You can modify any paramter of a dive while in the profile, change deco > gasses, algorythms, etc. > > A terrific teaching and learning tool. > > |

There are a lot of good people here, you just have to sort through the trolls and children. BTW, the Harrier is one of my favorite birds (my dad was an ornithologist). |

Only he's a bit too busy developing more good stuff. I had him enlisted on my team for a rather radical make over of our training system, but he ran short of time, starting up his own business and all. But playing with GAP realy opens up perspective for people who would (should) want to know more about deco. BTW: Harriers are seen around here, too. I like to watch birds, but I'm not very fanatical about it. I like watching fish, too, so I guess that's one of my excuses to dive. Actually, I like to dive, too. So I guess that's one of my excuses for watching fish. -- HES van Schoonhoven Life is a learning experience "Scott" <pugetsounddiver@gmail.com> schreef in bericht news:qZp_d.47$zO.1417@news.uswest.net... > "HES van Schoonhoven" <harrier@zonnet.nl> wrote in message > news:d54d6$423a2768$3ea61518$5548@news.versatel.nl ... > >> Yo Scott, >> >> You think GAP is 'A terrific teaching and learning tool.' >> I second that. >> Whole heartedly. > > We are going to integrate it into our rebreather training. > >> Even intergrated an older (free) version in our advanced scuba training. >> Off course with his kind consent. > > Kees is a gem. Hmm, I would have thought a person's first thought upon seeing "harrier" would be "pilot" before "ornithologist" (Please excuse me, I've been in child mode all evening.) |

| You're way off topic Chilly. Here we're singing the praise of GAP. About time someone did. But hello! You know, the jumpjet must have gotten it's name somewhere. And when I picked my e-mail address, all three meanings of the word "harrier'occurred to me. BTW: the third one is how they call hounds in a battue. Fits me nicely but don't make too much of it. -- HES van Schoonhoven Life is a learning experience "chilly" <slarson@shaw.canada> schreef in bericht news:UYw_d.713387$6l.490840@pd7tw2no... > > "Scott" <pugetsounddiver@gmail.com> wrote in message > news:qZp_d.47$zO.1417@news.uswest.net... >> "HES van Schoonhoven" <harrier@zonnet.nl> wrote in message >> There are a lot of good people here, you just have to sort through the >> trolls and children. > > Lots and lots of children . . but not everyone of the children, are > children > every day . . just from time to time. > >> BTW, the Harrier is one of my favorite birds (my dad was an > ornithologist). > > Hmm, I would have thought a person's first thought upon seeing "harrier" > would be "pilot" before "ornithologist" > > (Please excuse me, I've been in child mode all evening.) > > |
