| http://www.blackfive.net/main/2005/0...soldiers_.html http://www.defendamerica.mil/article...090905ms2.html By Multinational Security Transition Command-Iraq TAJI, Iraq, Sept. 9, 2005 - Iraqi soldiers serving at Taji military base collected 1,000,000 Iraqi dinars for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Iraqi Col. Abbas Fadhil, Iraqi base commander, presented the money to U.S. Col. Paul D. Linkenhoker, Taji Coalition base commander, at a Sept. 5 staff meeting. "We are all brothers. When one suffers tragedy, we all suffer their pain." Iraqi Col. Abbas Fadhil The amount of money is small in American dollars - roughly $680 - but it represents a huge act of compassion from Iraqi soldiers to their American counterparts, said U.S. Army Maj. Michael Goyne. "I was overwhelmed by the amount of their generosity," Goyne said. "I was proud and happy to know Col. Abbas, his officers, NCOs and fellow soldiers. That amount represents a month's salary for most of those soldiers." Abbas read a letter he wrote after giving the envelope to Linkenhoker. "I am Colonel Abbas Fadhil; Tadji Military Base Commander," Abbas wrote. "On behalf of myself and all the People of Tadji Military Base; I would like to console the American People and Government for getting this horrible disaster. So we would like to donate 1.000.000 Iraqi Dinars to help the government and the People also I would like to console all the ASTs who helped us rebuilding our country and our Army. We appreciate the American's help and support. Thank you." |

I guess maybe after the Iraqi's hang him. Which, I must say, seems so fitting. I hope it is a public hanging, not like the ones he and his did in the darkeness of the prison basement. > After all, they were better of under Saddam, no? Yeah, well that's what you would think if you were an America hating, arrogant, self defined intellectual elitist that only reads and accepts news and information that supports your blind socialist ideology. |

As I understand it, the legal method of execution in Iraq is death by hanging, so one could surmise that the huge majority of executions that took place before Saddam got taken off, and his asshole kids rubbed out, were not only illegal, but an insult to humanity. Then there are the judgments and methods used by the Islamic terrorists, who will also be given a trial they deny to all they kill, and they will be treated and executed far more humanely than anything they gave. Maybe we can convince the networks to make it a PPV event, so we can get together at the bar and watch the bastards swing. |

It's not much of a point, but OK. -- "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine." - Thomas Jefferson |

It's not much of a point, but OK. See, Barry, you miss yet another point. Like several others around here, who, for reasons different from, but just as mercenary as, yours, It's not possible for you to see any positive aspect of this. While you certainly have no solutions, of course. You can point fingers at American troop "abuse" of Iraqi prisoners, while shadow dancing around 30 years of genocide, WMD use, rape chambers, religious persecution and mass graves. You can state, as one here did "There Are No Terrorists In Iraq" with a straight face, or say that Iraq posed no threat to the U.S., then criticize the administration for failing to prevent an attack. You can say, as the democrats here do, that we should have left Hussein in power and luxury while starving the Iraqi populace until he -finally- found a way to attack us or start a nuclear exchange with the Israelis. That's why no one is interested in your ignorance. |

It's not much of a point, but OK. No one said "overjoyed" you pompous asshole. Typical leftist spin and hyperbole. How much do you think an Iraqi soldier (the true "freedom fighters") makes? The fact that a *single* Iraqi, let alone an entire company (who, unlike you, fight, kill and die every day to earn their freedom), gave a nickel to help "their brothers" in America (and your typical and predictable response), simply illustrates how full of shit you and those like you are. My point was to bring cockroaches like you out into the light, and it was as easy as posting a link to a single story of Iraqi compassion. Stop while you're behind. > See, Barry, you miss yet another point. > > Like several others around here, who, for reasons different from, but just > as mercenary as, yours, > > It's not possible for you to see any positive aspect of this. > > While you certainly have no solutions, of course. > > You can point fingers at American troop "abuse" of Iraqi prisoners, while > shadow dancing around 30 years of genocide, WMD use, rape chambers, > religious persecution and mass graves. I met and got another contract today with an old Jarhead. He went through Dego in '68 then did two tours in Vietnam. I told him I went through ten years later, and he said "Last guy off the bus get his ass kicked?" If you hadnt been there, you wouldnt know. Knew, instantly, who his DI's were. Point being, we who served got treated far worse in basic than any Iraqi or illegal combatant ever did in our custody. > You can state, as one here did "There Are No Terrorists In Iraq" with a > straight face, or say that Iraq posed no threat to the U.S., then criticize > the administration for failing to prevent an attack. 9/11 killed 10x more than Katrina, as did the embassy bombings, the Beruit bombings, and the other terrorist acts by Islamic assholes over they years, but it doesnt serve the moonbats and their hatred to remember or acknowledge those facts. Katrina makes a good podium for your hatred. After all, like Alan said, the lives of airmen, soldiers, sailors and Marines arent worth as much as "regular" Americans, but declined to define the term when pressed. Admitedly the count in NO isnt done yet, but no where near the toll that the moonbats hoped to hang on Bush in their rush to politicize an act of nature that has been warned about for literally decades. Lets also not forget that the Clinton administration, which raised taxes, also failed to provide money for the work needed, and that the house and senate under Clinton rejected the Kyoto treaty almost unanimously. http://www.chronwatch.com/content/co....asp?aid=16698 > You can say, as the democrats here do, that we should have left Hussein in > power and luxury while starving the Iraqi populace until he -finally- found > a way to attack us or start a nuclear exchange with the Israelis. > > That's why no one is interested in your ignorance. Remember Michael Moore saying, with a snicker; "There *is* no terrorist threat!" So now, thanks to Dubya and the Brits and Aussies with descended testicles, Al Qaeda has been reduced to attempting to terrorize and attenuate the lives of free people with threats like this; http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/SYD208309.htm But hey, with help from Barry, Alan, Greg, Michael Moore, Pelosi, Feinstein, Dean, Kennedy, Kerry, Schumer, Clinton (they already had a bunch of help from him, couldn't have pulled off Somalia and all those embassy bombings without him), Michael, Cindy Sheehan (ad infinitum, ad nauseum), Iran and the EU, they might just get their nuke yet. Maybe the refugees from LA, after it gets nuked, can go stay in New Orleans... |
