Diving in Dublin Bay

I'll be out in the "soup" at the weekend and I'll fill you in on what the
conditions are like. I know some guys from my club are going out tonight,
(I'm not going on account of the Liverpool match ;) so I'll know what to
expect for the weekend.
To be honest with you, unless we have some very favourable winds , you'll be
doing well to see a noticeable improvement in conditions in the bay by the
time you get over here. I will let you know what vis is like after the
weekend.

Firstly.... Wasn't I glad to stay in and watch the match!!! You couldn't
write stuff like that and if you did people would say that it would be "too
far fetched" !! I was jumping and howling through the house! What a night!!
Secondly... Sharky, I'm sad to say that conditions in the bay are still
pretty grim. It still very silty thus visibility is poor to say the least.
Torches on for the whole dive with max depth 13m. Winds today are pretty
strong westerlys, so we only did a sheltered shore dive. There was a small
craft warning today so no-one would've used any boats. Long term forecasts
are for unsettled weather including easterly winds which are the worst for
churning up the sediment thus hampering visibility even further.
So in short..... Don't bother bringing your gear. Sorry for the bad news.
