You may be mixing up qualified and certified.
Physic laws extend without step functions, even down to more than 18m.
Just to state, this "you are only qualified BS" is only aimed to
separate you from your cash.
What counts, is not certification, but skills assessment, development
and training.

What area are you going to be in - have a look at www.diveology.ie ,
www.aquaholics.org or look at CFT website - www.scubaireland.com this will
give you a list of local clubs.
