There is some outstanding diving on the coast of County Cork in the south
west, where I have dived wrecks, scenic dives, and caves from Cork to Bantry
Bay. My favourite site is the the Kowloon Bridge, the largest wreck in
European waters. I don't know the current state of dive centres in the area
as it has been too long since I was last there, except for Waterworld near
the Maharees which should be avoided like the plague. The problem with this
area of Eire is that it is exposed to the weather coming off the Atlantic so
you will have to take a chance on not having a strong south-westerly.
