Diving Literature Online

A new non-profit organization, with support from GUE, DAN, and UHMS, has
been working to create an incredible online repository of historic and
cutting edge diving information. The collection, which includes
information on oxygen tolerance, decompression sickness and treatment,
and diving equipment, will be completely searchable. All articles will
be downloadable.

The local database is constantly growing: it contains hundreds of
articles, with more being added each week It currently includes
articles from the U.S. Navy Experimental Diving Unit, the Naval Medical
Research Center, the Naval Submarine Medical Research Lab, the School of
Aviation Medicine, and countless other sources, all for free.

The organization is also working to make thousands of articles available
through UHMS, including:

- Every article from the Hyperbaric Oxygen Review from 1980 to 1985.
- Every article from the Journal of Hyperbaric Medicine from 1986 to
1992. <JHM.html>
- Abstracts from every article from the Underwater Medicine and Related
Sciences <Shilling.html> Guide to the Literature from 1973 to 1983.
- Every article that has appeared in the Journal of the Undersea and
Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) since 1974.
- Every article presented, including the text of the discussions, from
every UHMS Workshop since 1973.

The site should be online very soon. We will keep you posted as soon
as there is more information available.
