Dan,

The weather in that particular region of S..W. Puerto Rico is hot, dry
and sunny for most of the year, unlike the rest of the island. In fact
there's a Desert area there.

Google is one of many ways to search but give the most
bank for the time involved.

Why don't you give us the link for your "hit"

> I think you think you are an attorney. *Part of your delusions, maybe?

Nope. *Never disbarred, never even disciplined.

And most likely, never graduated.

I also think a "Mossman" fits my Tree guy theory. It's a Karma thing.

For a guy that calls himself "sytech" you don't see very proficient with
computers ...

this took me maybe 8 seconds to find.

Many years ago the State of California took the step of listing licensed
professionals on the Internet. Their names were always (for however long
that is I'm unsure) available by calling the Department of Consumer Affairs
so moving the information to the Internet was a natural progression in
providing information to consumers. Questions like "Is this guy an
attorney?" can be quickly and easily answered by visiting the State's
website. Many states still don't provide this information over the Internet
but will provide it over the phone or by written request.

Thanks a bunch. Now I'm out all the money that sytech was going to pay over
when he bet me that I was really a New York arborist.

BTW, sytech, the phone numbers are out of date in case you try to call me,
but I still get mail there. You can send my check in whatever amount it
takes to appease your guilty conscience. Pretty tricky using "Gregory" as
my professional name, huh? Makes that Google searching real tough.

The last time I heard such a puerile line was in my school playground
in 7th. grade. Besides, that other poster made an
issue of you not paying your bets anyhow. And b.t.w. comprehensive
search engives will pick stuff up from all Newsgroups.

Of course the easiest thing would simply be to post that URL you
allegedly found. Why don't you just do that?

Your link was bad, so I didn't read the other post. Figures a moron
wouldn't even know how to post a valid link.

But now that you tell me the other poster made an issue of me not paying my
bets, I don't have to worry my little head too hard to come up with an
educated guess. BTW, that other poster dined and dove with me in Cozumel
just a couple months ago, so I doubt my alleged welshing caused too much bad
blood. The puerile guy who made the bet with me was retired from the school
playground as a respected Professor Emeritus of Statistics, written up in
Who's Who, and all that. With my own eyes, I saw him make an amazing 199'
dive while wearing a shark-fin hood. Are you calling him a tree guy too?

Why don't I? Let me count the ways . . .

"Desert?"

The annual average rainfall for Ponce, PR is 27.45"
(http://www.sercc.com/index.html). And Ponce gets 3.17" in May alone,
which is more than what Yuma, AZ gets in an entire year.

Less South and further West...to Puerto Real, PR, its annual average
precipitation is almost 50", which is roughly the same as Orlando, FL.

Whoever's doing your climate research for you needs to hire a lawyer

Greggie,

I don't know how much Psychology you studied at Community college but
you are one hell of an example of what the pros refer to as having a
Narcissistic Personality Disorder:*

"Behavior or a fantasy of grandiosity, a lack of empathy, a need to be
admired by others, an inability to see the viewpoints of others, and
hypersensitive to the opinions of others".

And once again why don't you post that URL. You're not shy about all
other types of bluster.

Wanna bet on it? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah!
Wanna arm wrestle about it huh, huh????

Assuming you're calling the Guanica Dry Forest a desert, please note that
"Generally deserts are defined as areas that receive an average annual
precipitation of less than 250 mm (10 inches) per year." --
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_climate

Obviously 20-35 inches is not less than 10 inches per year.

Besides, I've driven through the Dry Forest on the way to dive out of
Copamarina. It certainly didn't look like any desert I've ever seen. And
the diving really sucked.
