Other jurisdictions might have a system where the loser bears the costs and attorneys' fees for both sides in civil action. Or it may be difficult for foreigners to bring lawsuits. Or it may be more difficult to enforce a judgment against a company. Or bribery and other corruption may interfere with "justice". There are plenty of reasons why the U.S. legal system is the most highly respected in the world (and plenty of reasons why it's also one of the least respected). |
