| I'm planning a trip to Sabah on next June. I have searched information concerning budget diving and accommodation in islands off Semporna but it seems to be quite difficult to find. There is always discussion concerning accommodation in Sipadan or Mabul. Has anyone spent their nights in mainland based resort or Semporna and dived during daytrips to those offshore islands? I guess you save a huge amount of money by doing it like this. What about those other islands off Semporna like Boheyan, Mantabuan, Mataking, Pom Pom, Bodgaya, Sibuan, Bohedulong, Sabangkat, Kapalai, Pandanan and Timba Timba Island? Does anyone have any experience on these? Is there any reasonably priced accommodation on these? What about diving comparing to Sipadan? |

I'm mainly looking for an accommodation which is suitable for backpacker budget. Do you have any information concerning those other islands off Semporna like Boheyan, Mantabuan, Mataking, Pom Pom, Bodgaya, Sibuan, Bohedulong, Sabangkat, Kapalai, Pandanan and Timba Timba Island?
