We had a great time diving with this operation last October.
But be careful, there were stories of pirates & Muslim
rebel groups stalking those waters as well as dive boats:

I would suggest either Redang or Perhentien but I also believe that's
not a great time to dive because of the monsoon season.

Pulau Redang has the best dive sites on the East Coast of Malaysia and is
accessible from Kuala Terengganu. However, most resorts on the island would
be closed at this time due to the monsoon season which would start around
October. The season opens again in March. You can contact this resort
http://www.redangkalong.com for more information.

Andrew, what are the rates for acco and dives at that resort?

Debb, do you have any other resort recommendations and approx acco/dive
rates?

I will be in the vicinity next April/May and I'm looking for a dive
destination. TIA to you both.

Please get in touch with the people who run the dive shop at
ddenmsia@tm.net.my. They should be able to tell you all you need to know.

Regards.
