Although not spent time on a live-abord, I did spend 2 weeks diving in
Filetheyo (North Nilandhu), the hard corals are coming back slowly,
and the soft corals and fish stocks are superb, water clarity usually
very good, Jan to Mar the best months (Dry Monsoon), and April to Aug
wet months (wet monsoon) [I think ..lol]

be prepared for some VERY strong currents and drift diving, one day a
40 minute swim between 3 points took only 8 minutes... we stood up
vertically and was 'washed' straight down the wall at a tremendous
pace.... fun in it's own way though.
