| I've finally got around to finishing my trip report for my holiday to Ranveli Island in the South Ari Atoll of the Maldives. It was also the first time I use my new Olympus 5060 underwater setup. Words and pictures are on my website. Jason -- http://www.scuba-addict.co.uk/ for Maldivian trip reports including Kuredu, Fesdu, Meedhupparu, Summer Island Village and Velidhu |

When thinking about booking a holiday, I am always wondering: How will the Flight Be? How will the Digs be? How will the DIVING be? How will the Dive Facilities/Staff be? How will the Grub be? How much will I pay in hidden "Extras" How does the place look above/below water. Your reports always cover these points, and I really enjoy reading them. I hope you get enough hits to make a bit back on the Google Ads, which are a very "Unobtrusive" way to advertise. Even if it just enough to pay the hosting, I hope you at least break even. Your information is a great contribution to scuba on the interweb. Thanks very much for sharing your trip reports! mattD Bergen, Norway http://diving-in-norway.com |

Yes, the Google Ads more than pay for my hosting and as you say, I don't think they're too obtrusive. Plus as they're context based, they often reasonably relevant. Mind you, according to some daft cow on another group, their mere presence on my website makes any post containing my signature a commercial post. On the subject of the Maldives, I got an email today from the new manager of the dive school on Summer Island Village. I went there back in 1999. The island was a nice, medium priced resort. The dive school is probably the worst I have ever dived with. So I'm pleased to report it's under completely new management, so things should now be a lot better.
