| We are considering a dive trip to the Maldives in November. Any suggestions of resorts with excellent diving, great food and decent prices? |

| We went to Soneva Fushi (Baa Atoll) two years ago. Could find a better resort!!! Good for diving & relaxing in the same trip. Great time to see Mantas in November! I saw my first manta ray there... and got a bonus of a whale shark! write me back if you'd like to some pictures of the resort and the dives! | I did my PADI open water qualification in the Maldives in November 2001. I stayed on Kurumba in the northern atoll and had a fantastic time. Kurumba has 5 speciality restaurants and one a la carte restaurant. As for great prices, this *is* the Maldives you're talking about! They don't do cheap out there. The diving was reasonable enough - around $20 per dive including equipment - but everything else costs a fortune. The best advice I can give you is to take plenty of food and drink with you. Like "Scuba dooba doo", I also saw plenty of mantas - I had one fantastic dive where we were all kneeling in the sand 15m down as 2 mantas wheeled around just above our heads. Also saw some turtles and big reef sharks. Excellent visibility, great weather at that time of year.
