I've always understood it to be the Carolita.

The version of the stoty I got was it was torpedoed during a bombing
raid as it was moored by the Manoel Island Submarine pens.

The actual siting and angling of the wreck would indicate it was sunk
where moored and not scuttled.

Makes interesting reading though the 2 different vessel names have been
combined to give one story.

Be interesting to see what happens as I can't actually think of anywhere
more suitable to meve the wreck to.
