Default Where to dive in GOZO

Off to Gozo in 3 weeks - anybody got any 'not to be missed' sites to
dive.
I'll be with Atlantis Dive Centre.
The ones I been looking up are:

Santa Maria caves Comino
Calypso Tunnel - Marsalform
Double Arch Reef
Cathedral cave - Gashri valley
Blue Hole - Azure Window

Wreck - MV Xelindi - at 30m
Wreck - The Rozi - a tug sunk as artificial reef at 35m
Wreck - Imperial Eagle - 42m and statue St. Paul at same location.
All the other wrecks are too deep for me or on other side of Malta.

Also heard mention of "The inland sea" but have no details on this.

Rick

I liked lighthouse point, drop off and into a tunnel at about 5m, exit
at 15m or so and then follow another tunnel to 27m. There's apparently
a 3rd that goes further down but I didn't do that. As you come up and
over the exhaled air can be seen bubbling out of the rock showing
where the tunnels are.

<FX Checks log book>

I've got the Xelindi marked in as a penetration at 38m

inland sea is adjacent to the blue hole. used to be a 150m or so trek across
boulders / sharp rocks to get to the blue hole after parking close to the
inland sea. the inland sea itself looks like a lake. you swim through a
tunnel (with boat traffic overhead) to get to the outside ocean, do the dive
then swim back though the tunnel.

Yup, I've got the same, as it's upside down there is not a lot to see
at 30, I think there is a picture of me sitting astride the keel
somewhere!

Good choice of dive shop - Atlantis are very good but because of that, can
get a bit crowded. Some of the diving is shore-based but they have an
excellent boat too for the north coast walls, Comino and Malta.

All the sites you list are on their schedule -
Blue Hole / Inland Sea / Azure Window are 3 great dives from essentially the
same point at Dwejra on the west coast. Crocodile Rock and Coral Cave are
also at the same place. Santa Maria Caves is usually done as a second dive
after Comino Point / Lantern Point. If there's enough interest they may do a
full day trip by boat to Malta to dive the Blenheim (42m) in the morning and
the Um el Faroud in the afternoon - a good day's diving. Billinghurst Cave
on Gozo is also very good (one of my favourites) and entry to MV Xlendi is
at about 40m not 30. Reqqa Point (exit for the Billinghurst Cave dive) is
good on its own as a reef / wall dive but you do need calm sea conditions to
get in and out.

First year in a while I won't be going so give my regards to Little Brian
from Big Dave!

Just come back ... Atlantis were superb ... one of their instructors
George was our dive master for the week - great guy.

Did Blue Hole, Azure Window, Inland Sea, Crocodile rock & Chimney,
Inland Sea (twice) going right out of tunnel on one dive and left on
other.
Did a great night dive on Xwejni Bay

Really like the Atlantis crew - will return at some point.
