Default Mauritius in July

I am going with my wife to Mauritius in July. Hows the diving? Please give
us any recommendations as we have just qualified PADI open water diving
course.

best regards,
Marko

In the south the diving is pretty good, but don't waste your time off
the north tip of the island - the coral is all dead (you can buy it in
the local market) ...
Some of the operators are not quite up to deserving their PADI star
ratings. You may even have to ask for a depth meter, as I did ..

Unless you hire a car you will be fairly restricted to the centre at your
hotel or it's nearest neighbors. Hotels can be isolated, or at least
grouped in two's & threes
Mauritius diving is quite varied depending on your area. IMHO best in the
south and east.
