| Has anyone dove the new wreck in Cozumel. If so, was it considered a regular dive or an additional cost dive. Also, how was it and were you allowed to penetrate the wreck? Thanks, Robert Lloyd |

| I'm not sure what wreck you're talking about. The C-53 is the only one I know of there and it has been there for several years. It is in about 70 feet of water and has been cut apart to allow easy penetration. Bring a small light and rig for penetration. I've done it twice. Both times my dive buddies got hung up on something and I had to unhook them. Also there are some very sharp edges around the doors. On my first dive I took my buddy to the local hospital for some stitches. Dr. Yak Robert Lloyd wrote: > Has anyone dove the new wreck in Cozumel. This is not a dive you want to do without gloves, be careful where you put your hands. Stay on the follow lines, never venture off alone. Though the C-53 isn't new to those of us that dive Coz regularly, it's not yet old enough to have much growth on it, and with the diver traffic, maybe never will. It's interesting for a new thing to do, but not interesting enough to make a habit of it. Just north of Chankanaab Reef. -- jer email reply - I am not a 'ten' ICQ = 35253273 "All that we do is touched with ocean, yet we remain on the shore of what we know." -- Richard Wilbur |
