Default divememo in Cozumel

A friend and I dove with DiveMemo (Guillermo Mendoza Peņa) back in '97 in
Cozumel. It was a most memorable dive experience.

We are returning to Cozumel in mid-December and we would really like to
dive with him again. Does anyone know if he's still a dive master in
Cozumel (or anywhere else).

I appreciate any info anyone has on him. Below is a post with regarding
him.

Many thanks,
Mark

Last I heard, he was back as the head divemaster at Aldora.
Check this link for more info:

http://www.aldora.com/openletter.htm

I stayed and dove with him many times after he left Aldora and had his own
business. A really great divemaster, I learned a lot from him.

Interesting link. If the Omar cited in Dillehay's long apology is the same
Omar I dove with, the DM that wanted the whole group to hold hands while
spending all the bottom time kicking against a strong current, then they
hopefully don't stand much of a chance at a recovery.

If you are looking for a good, reliable and safe independent dive operator try
Tony Castillo at Yucab 3 (872 3270). Tony was formally the GM of one of
Cozumel's major operators but branched out on his own a number of years ago.
He runs his boat from the El Presidente marina and picks up at all hotels south
of town.

Yes, Aldora is one of the best operators in Cozumel.

PS Don't pay attention to any arsehole here that (for sure) will tell
you otherwise. They have their heads up so far up their ass that
smelling their own shit have turned them "insane".

Have a nice trip

Aldora sucks. Plain and simple.

I've been diving with a few dive ops here and there. Aldora is easily the
worst I've ever dove with. With all the dive ops to choose from in Cozumel,
why risk a nightmare?
