Best/worst dive operators in Cozumel (current info)

What's your opinion on best/worst dive operators in Cozumel.

Please respond only if it's somewhat current say between 2002 - 2004 and you
are an experienced diver say 150+ dives.

I do not presume to know who is the best or the worst, that would imply my
having personal experience with all of them.'

I will say that I have dived with Papa Hogs and was completely satisfied
with the experience. A few years ago, I dived with Blue Bubble, they have
changed management since so things may have changed.

Better make it 1,000+ dives. That's the usual cutoff here.

I'm thinking the 150+ dives had to be completed between 2002 and 2004 at the
best/worst dive operations in Cozumel. The 1,000+ experience level you
recommend could then be saved to opine on mediocre operators.

I did four dives with the worst dive op in Cozumel (Aldora) back in 2000. I
suppose my opinion doesn't count but no one listens to me anyway.

For some reason, the Aldora IDIOT Ron Lee who had whined about
name-calling his entire rec.scuba life did not sing his usual
tune about name-calling when I called you an Anti-Aldora IDIOT,
just to be FAIR to both sides.

I turned out to be the only strong defender FOR Aldora in that

Where was Aldora IDIOT Ron Lee then? Of all his WHINING, why is
it that he never notice any of this? Lee's characterization
actually rather accurately summarized ALL I've been saying through
the years about Aldora -- it's in the ARCHIVES -- that it's GOOD
but not the BEST as Aldora IDIOTS insist that it was.

The above more or less gave the answer you sought -- that there
is NO BEST and NO WORST dive operators in Cozumel, no matter
what your experience level is.

Having nearly 200 dive operations in Cozumel (many of which are
hole-in-the-wall and/or one-man-bands), a dive shop has to be
VERY GOOD (and they are) to be consistently considered the
best 10 say, or even GOOD just to survive; and even then, it
still depends on the INDIVIDUALS experience, needs, and
personal PREFERENCES.

So, don't expect any answer for BEST from ME. Not even the
10 Best.

I have had over 1,200 dives in Cozumel over the years.
with at least a couple dozen different shops. Almost ALL
of those were very good -- I wouldn't have tried them
otherwise.


Somebody send Aldora IDIOT ROn Lee a copy of this to read and
keep before he posts his derogatory subjects about Bob Ling
and posts his incessant whining about how I mistreated him,
Aldora, etc., etc..

Rock, send me privately your diving "resume", what you need, what
your preferences, what kind of dives you most like to do, I MAY
be able to suggest several dive shops that might fit what you're
look for.

Bob, you assume that I read most of your posts. That is incorrect.
Thus I cannot respond to all of your childish post or respond to other
things that you keep bringing up. Your style is consistently
derogatory, juvenile and unproductive. Yes you have made at least
one good post that I can recall (out of billions and billions).

And as usual you are incorrect about me "whining" about your childish
behavior my entire rec.scuba life. Early on I had a cordial
discussion with you about Bahia. Either you changed or I read even
fewer of your posts to notice your poor style.

Now you really should take a walk through a forest, smell the pines,
