In fairness, I've got to point out that a lot of cruisers go out only a
few times, and when they do, they are in and out of every port of call
so quickly that they haven't the time to figure out "how stuff works" in
any particular locale. The herd mentality is the only thing that works
for them. It doesn't make me any the less inclined to be around them,
though.

A couple of years ago we met and befriended a young couple of cruisers
on Cozumel that had chozen to strike out on their own in spite of being
clueless about Cozumel. We adopted them for the day and took them to
places on the island that they would never otherwise have seen. They
were the exception, however.

I don't recall any wristband but maybe. Why would that make a difference?
I wasn't at one of the sanctified shops.
