Default Cozumel internet

Are there any internet cafes in Cozumel? My m-i-l is kind of freaked
because we don't have a phone in the room and she wants to be able to
reach us "in case something happens". So I figured email might work,
although we might check it daily just to keep up with traffic (I have
a low spam email address that's only about two months old).

Thanks, trip report by the 6th.

Well, a small problem, one of those is gone. However, there are several
scattered around, well marked (all in town), so just pick one nearby.
The Calling Station is likely the oldest and popular (just south of the
town square). I've used the one between Dive Paradise shop and the Rock
n' Java Cafe (bottom level Edificio Colon bldg. on Rafael Melgar Av.)

I seem to remember seeing one or two last March when I was there.
Regarding the old, "in case something happens", you can always use
the time tested message at the desk method.

Okay. However, expect a personal email from me telling you what a
great time we're having.

However, it looks like rain for a lot of the week.

Hope you have a great time. I have never had a day of diving canceled
because of weather, or surface conditions (in Coz)

good luck! and enjoy!

I have. Too much wind and the boats don't go out. Just as well
actually, the intent is to have fun and small boats in rough water
ain't fun.

Yup, small boats are pretty rough in +20 knot winds, but the port
authority in Coz closes the ports to mitigate their risk of litigation
from unjured Americans than their concern for how rough it is on us. On
those days, I often hoof it to a cenote or two.

If the seas are really rough, I'd stay on shore even if the boats were
giong out, and even if I paid in advance. I'm on vacation to have fun
and that ain't it.
