Like the other sea-side flab resorts, it's in pretty bad shape. The
buildings are still there, but that's about all. If the buildings had
been destroyed, it'd be May 09.

Presidente Hotel here suffered major damage. One can see through virtually
all the rooms back to front of the tall building (middle building). The
update in Cozumel coming from the hotel dive concessionaire directly, is that
the hotel will be closed until Oct/Nov of 2006. We suspect it will beautiful
once finished and just about the only 5-star hotel here.

Just curious if any one has seen what happened to El President hotel.
I noticed from one press release that they do not have a projected
opening date until May of 06.

Were the buildings destroyed?
