Depends upon your definition of 'paved'... <grin> We were there in the latter part of November and there were sections of the road on the east side of the island that had been washed out, preventing someone from actually driving all the way around the island... The southern boundary of the closed off section started just slightly north of Punta Sur... There was probably a couple of miles that were closed off... On the west side of the island, some of the sections of the old road were also washed out, but the new road was still in acceptable condition... |
