Cozumel Plaza Hotels

My wife and I usually stay at Plaza Las Glorias when we go to Cozumel.
With the changes made to PLG this is probably no longer an option. I
can not remember any of the hotels right on the plaza - anybody have
their favorites. Because we spend so little time in our rooms I don't
care about cheap - bed, shower, a little room to move.

I have stayed at Scuba Club Cozumel twice and if you want, basic
but a good dive "resort" I can think of none better. Great boats,
clean rooms,easy shore dive (but better at night), and all meals.
Located a few blocks North of the Plaza.

Is not the Scuba Club Cozumel the white waterfront hotel 1 mile south of the
Plaza/Ferry Pier?

Yes it is, across the street from Dive Cozumel, the house shop. It's
an easy walk from the pier, you need the exercise after dinner and it
saves the $5 taxi ride.
