| I'm going to Cozumel in July. I have 2 options: Fiesta Americana and Occidental Allegro. Any info on qulality of dive shops on site would be appreciated. Also, are they both OK for solo divers? Thanks, Tomek |

FA doe snot have what i consider to be a real beach: http://www.cancunmap.com/assist/fiesta_am_cozumel.html Compare that to the Allegro: http://www.cancunmap.com/assist/allegro.html Don't expect ocean view rooms at the Allegro but who cares. Just walk a ways to the beach. Wherever you stay you can have other dive shops pick you up so do not feel compelled to dive with the in-house dive shop if someone else floats your boat. Ron Lee |

The down side to the southern hotels is the taxi ride into town. And the taxi drivers don't like taking people back to the hotels at night, as they will likely get stuck their until their shift is over, unless they want to get "illegal" and drive back. This according to the taxi driver who took us to several hotels when I was doing an inspection. He was a little reluctant to take us until I said we were looking for a round trip. He gave us a discounted rate. > > >Dan Bracuk >If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure. > >----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- >http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups >----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- -- dillon The pen may be mightier than the sword, but I've never seen a .sig beat a Sig. |
