Cozumel/ Presidente

We just returned from Cozumel Saturday 7/30. We had reservations at the
Presidente on Wednesday 7/27 thru MLT Vacations and was notified 12 hours
before departure that the Presidente was closed. The story I got was that
MLT had done onsite evaluations of the storm damage to the properties they
rep and found considerably more damage to the Presidente than
Intercontinental was reporting, and would not send anyone there because of
the amount of damage, although the property was operating on a "limited
services basis." We decided to go ahead with the trip and stay at Casa Del
Mar, since we had already rescheduled
once because of the hurricane. We dove two days with Advanced Divers and as
others have said the diving conditions were not bad but certainly not
normal. The Presidente appeared to be almost vacant, broken windows, most
of the shade huts on the beach damaged, it looked like the restaurant next
to the pool was closed. It also appeared that Fiesta Americana was still
closed. No one around it.
