| Hmmm, I don't know. I'll have to watch the video again. I googled congor eel and they didn't look that familiar. We've seen congo eels in cold water but maybe it is the same. Thanks Wade "Bill Tinsley" <williet10000@earthlink.net> wrote in message news:3FA1D660.9003016B@earthlink.net... > The blue eel is a conger eel. They usually come out to feed after dark. What he probably saw was a adolescent, maybe juvenile, Sharp-tail (Snake Eel), which does indeed look like a ribbon eel and goes through a variety of color phases, and patterns, while maturing. You usually do not see them free-swimming until adult, so it was a good find. |

Nah, it's great. Fish and critter ID is so hard sometimes it takes the experience of many different divers for one to figure out what it was they saw. I think we all have shots of something we just can't put a name on, no matter how many books we refer to. |

| Stayed at Belmar. VERY nice resort. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Good management. They do provide clean towels as needed, but only clean the suites every other day. Sheets twice a week. The patios are are all large and have a great view of the water. We stayed in room 3, which is right in front of the pier. Good choice. Room 10, the end room on the ground floor has a HUGE patio right ON the water. Toucan Diving on site, as are tanks for diving. Only the bedrooms are air cond, however, with anyplace that is a suite/apt set up, that is how they do it. If you have just a hotel room, it is air cond. Have a wonderful time. The water was 87* "Ginny Miller" <ginmill01@cox.net> wrote in message news:7S_mb.82601$vj2.36262@fed1read06... > Oh my gawd!!!!! Snowing????
