Not yellow doors. After the road splits, it's the second house. The house
between our house and Belmar had the huge dock with cannon that got wiped
out in the 1999 storm. He still has a double deck dock but the cannon are on
shore now. From the road you see a garage on the left and a cottage on the
right with a covered carport between. On the side of the cottage there is a
painting of two ships. The house is called Sunset Marina. You'll have to
check it out, it's very nice and very very private!!

Oh, my mistake..I thought you said North of Belmar.

Now I know which one you are talking about. Yeah, that's a nice spot. Is the
floating sundeck part of that house as well? It took a beating this year
when the winds shifted in late December. I was waiting for it to break loose
from it's mooring, but it held fast.

At Belmar the pool was filled with sea water, the docks suffered some damage
and the pool area was, for all intents and purposes, unusable for about
three days. I hadn't seen Bonaire in those conditions before but when the
winds turned and came from the North, all the properties along that stretch
of seawall (the area that faces NorthWest) really took a pounding. Since we
were there for almost 3 weeks the few days didn't bother me, but for people
who had only one week I suspect their vacation wasn't as nice as possible.

The good part was, with winds from the North, the South and Southeast laid
down nice an smooth for shore diving. We took good advantage of being able
to dive those sites. Normally they aren't even approachable, let alone
divable.

The floating dock is the house next door, but he doesn't mind if we use it.
Over the years, we've been there a lot when the wind reverses. It's really
strange to see the planes landing and taking off to the west!!! We've been
able to dive most of the east coast, we've also been there in Aug & Oct. In
Feb. 1998 we had the waves so high that they came inside our house. It was
pretty scarry.
