Default Bonaire Excel

I forgot to add information on this option to the trip report.

We took Bonaire Excel from Aruba to Bonaire and back. This operation has its
good and bad points.

Good: You may be able to get to Bonaire in one day from the hinterland
(non-hub).

Bad: 1) You can reserve and pay for tickets using the Internet but you have
to go to the ticket office at the airport to get them. This can cause a
delay of as long as thirty minutes as BE does not have an electronic
ticketing system. If the connection is close, you may miss it. 2) BE will
cancel a flight if it is not full. BE is a scheduled airline but only in the
Caribbean sense. They cancelled our 11 a.m. flight and put us on the 1 p.m.
Since they ask that you be at the airport an hour before flight time, one
can be stuck at the airport for three hours. (Luckily, we could just go back
across the street to the condo and watch t.v. while we waited.)

If you want to connect from BE to Delta, you MUST book on the afternoon
Delta flight. BE will not book you on the 7 am flight to make the Delta
9:50. They require a two hour interval between your arrival on BE and
departure on an international carrier. Given the Aruba cluster, this is a
reasonable requirement.

Well isn't that adventurous?

In any event, it sounds like you had a good time. Glad to hear it.

If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure.
