Default Bonaire

Looking to go to Bonaire in a couple weeks. Any feedback on the Divi
Flamingo would be appreciated. Also, what is the cost of food over there?
I read they don't grow any of their own food sources over there, so I'm
thinking restaurant eating is going to be pretty high. Jane

The Divi has a great dive shop run by Serge. I was out on a dive this
past winter to Klein Bonaire. It was a wonderful experience. I have
had clients including my Mom stay at Divi and they were very happy.
The manager and staff are great. I stayed there once and ate at the
restaurant. Stellar views and ok food but that was 2001. Views remain
but honestly there are a plethora of dining ops all within a walk of
the Divi. Cactus Blue has great apps, tuna sashimi and key lime pie.
Wed. Moogie plays so not to miss. Bambu has great tuna as well and a
great wait staff. I love Richards for land and sea and views. His
staff is second to none. Donna and Giorgios has a great local band
Sunday nights so I recommend sitting at the bar after dinner elsewhere
and have a divine Tieramesu and cognac or coffee. Casablanca has an
all you can eat buffet to make any carnivore happy (Monday nights) and
the ever famous Albert Bianculli has some show too. Plaza has steel
band Tue. at Happy Hour. Also next to TCB inc is a new spot, Plazita
Limena serving GREAT wood roasted chicken and some incredible sauces
to accompany the meal. These are my favs a walk from Divi.

Criminy Jane, my post I think I deleted..I try again. My Mom loves
Divi. I stayed there once and liked it very well. The new manager is
excellent as is her staff. Serge at the Dive Dive shop and his staff
are great. I went out with them on a dive to Klein Bonaire this winter
and thought it was a well run show. Excellent for that matter. You can
walk to dining from Divi. Sunday nights I would recommend sitting at
the bar at Donna and Giorgios for Tieremesu and coffee listening to
the local music. Monday nights Casablanca has an all you can eat BBQ
to make any Carnivore happy. Albert Bianculi does a show of some sorts
too. Tue. night next to TCB inc eat at Plazita Limena for wood roasted
chicken and some divine sauces. Wed. eat at Cactus Blue for great apps
and tuna sashimi with key lime pie for dessert. Moogie is in the
house. Thur have fish or land and sea at Richards. His staff is second
to none and the views. If you have a special occassion request (WELL
IN ADVANCE) the pier table.
