| 1.) the DEMOCRAT Mayor of New Orleans evacuated people to a building that was built below sea level. 2.) I KNOW FOR A FACT that N.O. has public transportation couldn;t the DEMOCRAT have evacuated the city by public transportation????? 3.) the DEMOCRAT Gov. of LA. Could have ordered mandatory evacuation....oh they did...then why are people still there. 4.) It is the responsibility of the local/state gov. to let the Federal gov. know what they need. Do you really think that the mayor who evacuates people to a location that is below sea level in the face of a cat 4 hurricane really thought all this out? 5.) one of the major roads into N. O. is GONE.....could this be why there was a slight delay? It kind of makes you wonder why Bush won't allow one, after all, if it was Democrats who screwed up then an independent investigation would be far more damning than a presidential one. On the other hand if Bush's administration screwed up, then I'm sure he'll block an independent investigation at every turn. As the New York Times put it "No administration could credibly investigate such an immense failure on its own watch". -- The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread. - Anatole France. |
