As for Newton being old hat, what is Icarus, new hat in Louisiana?
You know the reference next to your name?
You in some ways are like him, trying to fly hi bit in your case
landing with a plop in the swamp,

But the term Old hat is dually noted as a hip thing to say if I ever
end up in a plane that crashes in your local swamp, along with how to
end it if I feel like there is no way to escape your hell hole of a bog
land,

A new topic has just come up (so to speak). "Ticklers".

There certainly is. I tried, but you insisted on being a rude, spoiled
whiney brat.

FWIW, don't think that I didn't notice that you never answered the
question I posed to you way back on June 16th:

"How can you prove that it was Air NZ that lost your
luggage and not your first carrier, Air Canada, or
the baggage handlers en route? After all you went
through LAX and luggage theft problems there have
been reported."

Similarly, for your desire to be reimbursed and compensated:

"And if you asked correctly, you would have been,
since airlines are required to provide compensation
for lost/delayed baggage. The exact details are printed
on the ticket and/or ticket holder."

Finally, for your bitching about a trip you had saved and planned for
two years for:

"To compensate for the risk of catastrophic loss, one
buys insurance....Bottom line is that if you can't
afford even the risk of loss, don't go."

The bottom line is that you're now lamely whining about something that
is always a risk - - one that's manageable through your own choices to
insure for - - but you chose to take the risk of going without a safety
net...and had the 'bad luck' to have suffered the consequences.

> I was asking about the Rules of netiquette for Rec.scuba...

You already got the answer to that, and you were obstinately unsatisfied
with it. Hence, my generalization on Netiquette...perhaps it was what
you were looking for? Its hard to read your mind when nobody's home,
particularly when you don't even know what you want.

So then what the hell do you want?

Are you looking for "justice" (actually: revenge) against a big airline?

If so, you've not successfully made your case as to exactly who was
culpable for your material loss.

Are you looking for sympathy?

If so, you've come to the wrong place: you've insisted on being an
asshole, so its quite kharmatically appropriate that you were the guy
who gets ripped off, for you're simply being treated in the fashion that
you deserve (sound familiar?).

And so on. Put up or shut up.

He's a loudmouthed little kid... Doesn't even know the difference between
USENET and a web site... Everytime he opens his mouth, he shows what an
idiot he is... He really illustrates that saying, "Better to keep one's
mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"...
Hell, we try to give him some constructive criticism, but he's too fuckin'
obtuse to learn from it... Hell, we couldn't even get past his ignorance to
start discussing the important things -- guns, politics, Spare-Air, and the
proper wearing of a banana on your head while diving...

Lurk a bit and you will see that here people treat each other the way
they treat you (abuse, insult, make fun of, kick in the head, and
generally have a good time out of it...).

Cheers,
