Thanks for the praise; that trip has prooved to be the most succesfull one
for underwater photography so far.

And yes the fish were highly abundant, easily on a par with Dahab, or Ras
Mohamed, but I cant say there would have been any shortage of sleeping
accommodation

Default Oman, Muscat at Nabucco extra divers resort

Have just got back from Oman Diving Resort today after a somewhat difficult
Gulf Air overnight flight.

Diving close to shore off the resort was slightly spoiled by plankton bloom
(very low viz). However due to the advice given in this NG we had three
fantastic days diving around Fahal Island. Thanks very much to those who
contributed. The advice made our holiday.

Nabucco Resort was great as well. Just to think that this time yesterday I
was bathing in the warm, sunny sea outside my hut.

I took a few snaps using my new Canon Powershot A620. Will post them
somewhere later for comment.

Again many thanks.

Eddie

Glad you enjoyed the trip and the advice was of use! It's a shame about the
viz. due to plankton- it came and went when we were there, but I suppose
it's what attracts some of the wildlife! Was it still fairly quiet in terms
of tourists? We plan to go again before everybody finds out about it and it
turns into an alternative to Sharm!!!

Fairly quiet. We didn't travel too far, Mosque, Fish market, Souk, Museum.

As you had said previously. The only dive boat was ours on all the dive
sites. I will go again but not for some time. We did Fahal shallow and deep
reefs. Fahal Island as a second dive was really great. Never seen so many
morays in one dive. Lovely cuttle fish in pairs. Turtles. Large Rays etc.
Certainly worth the trip!! That being said, Red Sea liveaboard is still my
favoured location.

Many thanks

Eddie
