Did you dive while you were there? Diving in Boracay is quite a waste if you ask me since there is so much better diving ALL OVER the Philippines. If your plan is to enjoy Boracay and perhaps dive that is one thing but if diving is your primary goal, I'd check out Puerto Galera, Dumaguete, Malapascua, etc. etc. The Lonely Planet diving book on the Philippines should help give you an idea of the kinds of sites you'll find in each area. I can recommend some good operators if you like. -Marco |

| Hey Folks, I'm interested in organizing a dive trip to Boracay during the Chinese New Year Vacation (January 28th - Feb 6th) or so. I live in Taiwan and it is a relatively short and easy flight to Manila and then down South close to the Island. I've spent a couple of months on Boracay once in the late spring but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what it is like there during this period of time. Weather wise? Crowds wise? Thanks very much in advance. J www.taiwanscuba.com |
