| Has anyone dived with/from the Dive Link resort of Coron in the Philippines? I am seriously considering it as a 'poorman's Truk' to see all of the Japanese wrecks. I was curious as to the quality of the resort, the friendliness of the staff and the safety? On top of that I'd be interested in any comments on stuff like what the food was like, the quality of the accomodation, any incidental costs I should plan for over my full-board and what other activities there are on Coron. Thanks in advance. Jimmy Blake |

| The wrecks are impressive and well worth going for. I didn't stay in Coron so I can't tell you much about the place except that it has a museum dedicated to the leper hospital. (Coron was once a leper colony where all the local sufferers were forcibly incarcerated.) Cliff. | If you want to dive in the Philippines, especially in Coron, then don't go anywhere else except http://www.diveright-coron.com/. Now I want to be absolutely up-front about this, DiveRight-Coron is owned by a good friend of mine ,Tim Humphries, and a member of my old UK club, who'se lived out in PI for about the last 5 years. He not only has this operation, which includes one of the best 'Bancas' (outrigger dive boats) in PI but can organise complete holidays including multi-locations across PI (flights, accomodation, food, transfers and good company). PI can offer all types of both diving and almost any other holiday recreation and relaxation, you name it he'll organise it. Although this is a ruthess plug I've no commercial interest other than helping a good mate. Regards, TonyH. |

| One thing I forgot to mention, if you are taking an internal flight from Manilla to Busuanga, is that there is a 10 kg. baggage allowance. The charge for excess baggage is quite low but I forget how much. Cliff.
