| Hi All, We just got back from using Rainbow Reef in the keys. We had a great time. Good Outfit, knowledgeable folks. Had a friend get certified as a new diver. he enjoyed himself and is looking forward to diving when he return to Hawaii. Downsides: we did not like that the boat has a standard no smoking rule. We did not care for the Key Largo boat dock. We brought our own gear and tanks, and the dock is lower than main area there. In Islamorada, the dock is almost level and easy to get to to unload. david |

| What was the tide level... there is a 2 1/2' tide difference on many days. Snoopyto wrote: > Hi All, > > We just got back from using Rainbow Reef in the keys. We had a great > time. | I don't remember the exact idal level. But I imagine a 1 1/2' difference. Islamorada was alot calmer than up in Largo. Calm has nothing to do with it and the Tides in Islamorada are not much different from those in Key Largo. Largo, Florida, on the other hand, is very different, and several 100 miles away. It's not in the Keys. What does make a difference in the tides is whether the dock is on the Bay side or Ocean side and which way the wind is blowing. Lee |
