Hi Bernard

I recall some years back that there was an oil slick or some such simlar
thing and when I asked about this area I was told there is nothing to see
because of it.

However, it's highly likely I will be going out to Northern Portugal via
Spain as well in September and will be looking for the same thing.

What I do have is a remote contact through a Company that makes fishing
netting north west of Oporto, I'll ask them and get back to you. Can you
email me diver at chrystianne dot com and we'll see what we can find on a
joint basis. Do you speak the language ?

Oh - and I'd recommend a drysuit !

Default Northern Portugal

I've asked this before but thought I'd have another go: can anyone tell me
anything about diving in Portugal, not the Algarve but about as far north as
you can go there, up by the Spanish border? I'll be there end July/beginning
Aug. Especially any recommendations re: dive outfits/shops etc. There's one
decent-looking operation in Porto I've found - Mergulhomania - but I was
wondering if there were others, esp. anything further north.

Any info very useful.

Cheers,

Bernard Lyall
