Hang on a moment here guys. The dive guides were 100 million percent wrong
in this situation. One dive guide should be able to look after a diver so
two shouldn't have had a problem. When you have got a new ow diver with you,
you need to take extra special care.

My thoughts are that they might have been having their own dive and not
noticed that you went off ahead. But I guess that you paid them and the idea
was for them to guide the dive as in lead the way.

Just my opinion.

The ones in the first picture are called "Sargos" in Portuguese.

http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...ry.php?id=1753
Diplodus sargus sargus (Linnaeus, 1758)

The "thing" in the IMG_2310.jpg is called a "sea cucumber" or holuthuria.

The fish in IMG_2322.jpg is very usual in Portugal but I can't remember
its name.

If you have the time, you might want to try Sagres, the west point of Algarve.
It is supposed to be the best spot in Algarve. There are several dive centres
there.
