| This travel is based on the capacity of a small bus to carry diving passengers. That is, at least 5 max. 8 persons are needed to make this happen. Unfortunately, nature's ways in concordance with the growth of mankind don't always be in line with the strive for personal well-being. In short, due to the resign of 3 designated participants, this travel depends on finding 3 more passengers. Leaving my SO and me as the only ones would stretch our financial capacities a bit. Lake Baikal near in Russia( Burjatia) is the worlds largest liquid freshwater reserve, with a max depth of 1637m, a stunning biological diversity as well as peculiarity, spectacular natural riches, and a pretty technical competent dive scene. There will be on week of liveaboard diving, one week of shorediving and getting in touch with the locals. Mrs. Feierabend, the wife of the guy who operates the tour, comes from Lake Baikal and has lived at least 10 years among the shamanistic culture, traces of which can be seen in her inspiring paintings. All things related to diving may be hired from the locals. Modern stuff like Apeks and everything. Drawback: We need answers now. Possibly tomorrow. Visa charges go up with remaining time left. Timeline: Starts 12.06.05 Berlin via Moskwa-Irkutsk. back: 25th of June Costs: 2150 Euro, including diving. For further information pls. lookup http://www.uwfoto-feierabend.de/baikal.html Participants should be able to do drysuit diving, have excellent bouyancy capabilities. No need to be fluent in russian. We speak english, french, italian, german. Interested? Drop me a line. Matthias |
