Default Lanzarote Dive Shops (Puerto Del Carmen)

Hi all,
Am looking at next years holidays for October (Just back
from Cyprus so got the blues - its snowing here, eek) and thinking
Puerto Del Carmen looks like a good option for the family, and the
diving sounds pretty good too. A quick google indicates 12 dive shops
in Puerto so any recommendations would be helpful, along with any
general comments on the diving.

Cheers

We were in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote in September.

It does have the advantage of the beaches of Papagayo not far away.
15 euro each to get there by water taxi, we hired a car for not much
more a day

We dived with the Rubicon Diving Centre. (Rubicon Harbour)
A very professionally run place, that I can recommend.

Any questions just ask.

We used Safari Diving in Puerto del Carmen last year.

Great bunch of people, and the dive center is right on the beach so
you can just walk straight into the water - no messing around in
minibusses. The sites out front go down to about 50m and most of the
other dive centers come to this beach/jetty anyway. There is a small
wreck, caves, lots of life (especially in the shallower sections) and
we spent hours bimbling round there. Usually there is a boat dive
(they have their own boat, again many of the other centers rent it!)
in the afternoon if you want it, or you can bimble in front of the
dive center any time to suit you.
