Default Lanzarote

Going to Lanzarote in October. The resort name is Costa Teguise. Would
be obliged if anyone know of any dive operators in that resort that they
could either recommend, or to stay clear of. Only ones that I have found
so far are Calipso, or Aquatis, but the latter one does not seem to have
a web site.

Thanks in advance

Steve

We hired tanks, weights and bought a lot of 'Sorb, Trimix and Oxygen.
The diving wasn't very exciting though....

And they even got the mix right occasionally... Quite expensive for
gas but I suspect that's due to them having to get everything from the
UK. They were very helpful when drysuits started going wrong though.

I must confess that I was annoyed that AFTER we threw
back the 18/12 as not being 18/30 they suddenly had
a helium analyser and checked everything. But, hey,
this is a laid back warm water resort...

It was still scary realising it was virtualy as light
at 60m as it was at 6. There must be nothing in that
water to eat so I guess that's why there is not much
life.

Hi Steve,
I've used Calypso on many occasions, good outfit & well run.
Check out my trip report at http://www.scubadive.me.uk/lanzarot.htm
I'd recommend the new 'Executive' dives, as you go to a few more interesting
places

The Canaries are not a warm water diving location.

Depends what you call warm. Last summer a 3mm wetsuit was
enough to keep me warm on a 1 hr dive. It was 22C according
to the Cochran.

I've had 21C in the Channel. Once.
