Hi Eddie, you probably wont believe it but there not sure what happened.
I surfaced after doing a very nice 40 min dive at the Medas Islands,
and within a few mins I had a pain in my chest that radiated out but did
not go down my left arm.

I was taken by a vehicle to the local doc for an ECG which was fine,
then taken by ambulance to hospital, after 5 hours of o2 there was a
slight improvement.

DAN was informed and they checked all the info they had, there reason,
Stomach embolism. Or in lamen terms, indegestion, bloody hurt though.

So I guess it was my fault for eating too much and having
too much coke for lunch.

Maybe Cliff is right and its just me, I dont mind paying the phone bill,
but he charged us £10 thats a lot of phone bill.

In my years of diving ive never seen it happen, but as I said I dont
think you would see it in this country, abroad is a different matter as
a previous poster stated.

So I apologies to Cliff for been a bit rude, but I was asked why i
wont dive with them and thats the reason.

ATVB

Laurence

That confirms many of the bad things I've heard about this boat in one
simple statement.

that's an easy problem solved-tell the diving community and the dive
operator will be avoided like the plague.Streuth, I would be more worried
about the insurance implications than the cost of a damn phone call!

Call me old fashioned and with a bit of common, but I wouldn't want anyone
snuffing it on my dive boat for the sake of a £2 phone call! Dont think it
would do my business any good. :-S

I've not heard anything. I couldn't complain about anything else. Diving
great, good guides, food ok......a bit tight with the wine and beer though
and the accomodation is ok.

If I remember the nitrox is a silly price.

No offence taken Lawrence and my apologies in return for upsetting you. All
I meant was that the cost of a phone call, even at £10, was a small price to
pay for escaping injury and getting thorough medical treatment.

Cliff.
