| I have a couple of weeks away in the next month: Cala D'Or, Mallorca Hurghada, Egypt The first week in Mallorca will be mainly to entertain my family, but I would like to do a couple of dives. The second week will be for me to go diving (and maybe wind/kitesurfing). In Hurghada, we will be very near a school called "Colona" (www.colona.com) so I am tempted to use them unless I hear compelling reasons why not to. Can anyone recommend a school or two (or warn me of places to avoid)? If it makes any difference, I have PADI AOW + Nitrox and I last dove 8 weeks ago (Maldives, don't do any in the UK) -- David Mahon |

Nice people, but equipment and supervision not brilliant - here's your stuff - get on with it (despite it being my first seadive, boatdive, - in fact first dives since passing open water!). Dive sites ok, plenty of viz but not much in the way of fish - tho I understand this is typical of mallorca these days. Also spotted a dive centre at Cala Mallorca, but didn't have time to look into it. I guess there's probably one in every Cala to be honest. Handy interactive map of mallorca http://www.maitechnology.com/vistara...h/mallorca.php Good luck Wayne |
