Hugh Huntzinger always tried to NAME SMEAR, but will NEVER succeed

For those short on ATTENTION SPAN, skip to the last TWO paragraphs
of this post on HOW to search for ANY topic, in scuba, statistics,
probability, air and cruise travel, and what Reef Fish Bob had posted
in over 60 different newsgroups.


For years, in citing my posts about SCUBA, which is always posted
with the posting name of "Reef Fish", (and I am the ONLY Reef Fish
in all newsgroups since 1992), Hugh Huntzinger the self-acknowledged
(since 1996)"Permanent Grudge Holder" on me always try to link my
scuba posts to my PROFESSIONAL name which has absolutely
NOTHING to do with my scuba postings, in his attempt to SMEAR
my name in my statistical profession.

Hugh send so far as digging up a Student Newspaper article of
10 years old in which I was interviewed by the student reporter about
students' abuse in "rating professors" thinking that would SMEAR my
name -- unfortnately for Hugh, that was my BEST source I could
have used to defend against Hugh's intended SMEAR, because that
article was both FAIR and ACCURATE, and it explained WHY I was
interviewed and what the abuses were.

But above all, Hugh made the GROSS BLUNDER that my professional
name is NOT "Bob Ling", but is "RF Ling" whose RF stand for both
the initials of my profession name AS WELL AS "Reef Fish" from
which the latter name and acronym was derived in 1992.


Hugh Huntzinger continued to use his MISattribution of Reef Fish
posts to Bob Ling, because Bob Ling is NOT the posting name of
anyone of my posts, but Reef Fish is, and is unmistable -- that being
the ONLY person (whom everyone already knew has the name
Bob and last name Ling) who posts in newsgroups by the name
"Reef Fish".

It was such an attempt of NAME SMEARING (Actually Hugh copied
that from Ron Lee who stopped doing it) and since the use of
"Bob Ling" in rec.scuba references are ALWAYS affiliated with
FLAMES, several other flamers in OTHER newsgroups began to
copy that practice, thinking they had unearthed some hidden
dark secret of the Reef Fish.

The Village Idiots in rec.games.bridge tried it. The FALSE abuse
reporter Dick Goldhaber copied Hugh's misattribution.


Here's the latest. I STARTED posting in several newsgroups
in 2005 that are populated by PROFESSIONAL statisticians, as
well as many clueless newbies who ask questions.

The most prolific poster of the sci.stat.math group (since 1995)
turned out to be the most IGNORANT one about statistics, but
he tried to teach others (of his Quackery and MALPRACTICE)
-- that of course is no different in scuba groups -- that one of
the most ignorant one about scuba physics and scuba locations,
Lee Bell, is always among the first ones to gave others FALSE
information.

At any rate, Richard Ulrich soon found Ron Lee's and Hugh
Hunzinger's posts about Bob Ling, and used it to try to
discredit me in the STATISTICS group, because he couldn't
defend his own quackery and malpractice.

Here is the LATEST episode, in which I showed that in using
his recommended Google-Scholar search (which is completely
USELESS and WORTHLESS) to promote one of the quacks
he knew, the count of citations in Google-Scholar in various
topics related to "multiple regression" (one of the most
commonly used topics in statistics) that my counts were HIGHER
than one of the all-time GIANTS in the statistics profession,
Fred Mostaller, and higher than many of those under John Tukey
(founder of Data Analysis) and there's no statistician in the
WORLD who don't know these two statistical GIANTS.

Relative to the professional citations, the Google-Scholar
under-counted by a factor of at least 100 for Tukey and
Mosteller, and a factor of 10 to 50 for my own publications!

But of course that was the counts for "RF Ling".

For "Bob Ling" the counts were ALL ZERO because I have never
written any paper under the name Bob Ling, just as I had never
posted under the name Bob Ling.

In the post above, I gave the reasons I had given many times before

RF: On the other hand, if anyone wishes to search for KEYWORDS
RF:of what I have posted in these newsgroups, all one has to do is
RF: to go to the "advanced groups search" option of Groups Google,
RF: and search for the keywards and author "Reef Fish", with or
RF: without the quotes, and one would find what I had posted with
RF: the keywards under all the different posting IDs of Reef Fish.

RF: THAT is by far the most important reason I use the posting name
RF: of Reef Fish which I have used since 1992, because even though
RF: my posting IDs (email addresses) had changed many times, the
RF: same author "Reef Fish" would find ALL of them.

The last paragraph applies to ALL TOPICS under ALL newsgroups
that have been posted by Reef Fish, under at least half a dozen
different posting IDs (email addresses).

So, Hugh, you Permanent Grudge Holder with the intention to SMEAR
Reef Fish's professional name by posting
